2023-present: Communications manager for the Department of Computer Science. I plan and execute a comprehensive communications program that amplifies the research of our faculty and graduate students, as well as the impacts of donor giving on students, the richness of our students’ experience, and alumni achievement and participation. I plan, supervise, and execute major social media campaigns that support Giving Day and other college and department priorities. I promote our department to alumni and peer institutions with digital newsletters sent during strategic times of the year to support our fundraising and rankings goals. I am currently in the process of overhauling our department website to bring it into compliance with university accessibility, branding, and user-focused design standards. I hire and supervise two communications interns who assist with social media and writing tasks.
2021-2023: Communications manager for three departments in the College of Engineering. I report, write, and produce multimedia projects for Virginia Tech daily news and departmental websites, pitch stories to reporters and arrange interviews for them, supervise a marketing intern, run 12 social media channels, administer and design three departmental websites, as well as doing email marketing, event planning, and strategic communications planning.

Recruit and oversee four ceramics instructors, market and sell pottery classes, organize and execute free and paid workshops for members, recruit and retain 50+ studio members, apply for and use grant funding, collect monthly dues, respond to customer inquiries, maintain studio web pages, track studio clay inventory and sales, order a range of supplies and tools, maintain kilns and glazes, fire student and member ceramic work.
2020-21: Adjunct visual media instructor, Virginia Tech, School of Communication, responsible for teaching sophomore-level course in page and graphic design, photography and videography, and web design, including instruction in the Adobe Creative Suite.
